Guillermo Navarro Polanco
Sales Manager, Mexico
Service and Engineering Manager, Latin America
Guillermo serves as the sales manager for Mexico and the service and engineering manager for Latin America at FRC Global. With more than 32 years of experience in the steelmaking industry, he leads commercial efforts across Mexico and Central America and provides technical support throughout Latin America. Guillermo specializes in EAF and LF processes, refractory installation, cost-benefit evaluation, and improving steel production yields.
Before joining FRC Global in 2009, Guillermo built a robust career with companies like the Simec Group, where he held positions ranging from EAF Supervisor to Steel Mill Manager in both Mexicali and Guadalajara. He later served as Plant Director at Grupo Acerero de Zacatecas, where he successfully led the restart of a plant that had been dormant for 15 years.
Guillermo holds a degree in chemical metallurgical engineering from the University of Colima. He has continued his professional development through participation in events such as CONAC, AIST’s Steel Mill Managers' Meeting, and various courses on steelmaking processes, atomic absorption spectroscopy, and ISO 9000 auditing.
Outside of work, Guillermo enjoys starting his mornings with a good cup of coffee and cherishing weekends with his wife and children — especially watching his kids’ soccer games and going to the movies together.

Miguel Isidro Villarreal Ballesteros
Engineering and Sales Support
Miguel serves as engineering and sales support for Latin American Sales at FRC Global. He specializes in refractory solutions including bricks, castables, tap hole clay, and the TKE-HTT system. With over 40 years of experience in the steel industry, Miguel brings deep expertise in blast furnace operations, process control, and the installation of advanced metallurgical technologies across Latin America.
Before joining FRC Global, Miguel held strategic roles at Altos Hornos de México, including General Supervisor and Process Engineer. There, he led several major initiatives, such as the installation of the first TKE-HTT system on a torpedo car and the coordination of blast furnace repairs using robotic application techniques in Colombia.
Miguel holds a degree in Industrial Metallurgical Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, along with two master’s degrees—one in Productivity and another in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. He has continued to expand his expertise through specialized training in distributed control systems, productivity methods, and expert systems for hot metal quality.
Among his most notable achievements are the commissioning of Mexico’s first external hot metal desulfurization plant and the implementation of an expert quality control system at Altos Hornos. Miguel’s leadership and technical vision have played a key role in the modernization of steelmaking processes throughout the region.
Outside of work, Miguel enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, attending live events, and discovering new destinations and cuisines.
