Mat Mathew

Vice President of Global Sales & Business Development

As vice president of global sales & business development, Mat Mathew leads the company’s worldwide commercial strategy, sales organization, and growth initiatives. He is responsible for building strong customer relationships, expanding market presence, and aligning business development efforts with the company’s long-term vision. Mat partners closely with regional sales leaders, product managers, and executive leadership to drive revenue growth and deliver innovative solutions to customers across the metals industry.

Prior to joining FRC Global in 2025, Mat served as chief executive officer of Sarralle USA, where he held full P&L responsibility, recruited a senior leadership team, and implemented effective commercial and operational strategies.

Mat is an accomplished and visionary leader with more than 30 years of experience in the global steel and refractory industries. His career spans executive leadership, operations, and business development roles with major companies such as United States Steel, Charter Steel, ArcelorMittal, Gerdau Ameristeel, and IPSCO Steel.

He possesses a strong track record of driving business performance improvements in the metals industry through an aligned and inclusive team approach in areas spanning financial performance, customer intimacy/differentiation, manufacturing performance optimization, commercial growth and selling strategies, and transformational change management.

In his free time, Mat enjoys outdoor activities, volunteering, and international travel with family and friends.
